CM Merchandising clerk

The objective of the Grocery Merchandising clerk position is to drive sales, profitability, and customer experience, and assist the assigned category team in achieving these goals. The Grocery Merchandising clerk accomplishes this by ensuring timely submission of merchandising plans and ad programs, as well as communication of these programs to the stores.
Ensure promotions and new item set-up is keyed on a timely basis.
Provide merchandising assistance to assigned Grocery Category Manage to ensure objectives for sales, profit, and customer shopping experiences are being met.
Generate and manage distribution planners, post-sales analysis, weekly sales recaps, and distribution analysis, improving efficiency and sales in the supporting categories.
Ability to perform Sales Forecasting including, but not limited to, the final implementation of the sales program up to the purchasing department level.
Build understanding and awareness of merchandising programs, sales building, and profitability initiatives through timely communication to the appropriate store associates.
Interact with the supplier community in order to develop strong overall merchandising/ad programs for the supporting categories. Assure all processes are followed on deleted items.
Serve as liaison between the Store Support Center and the stores. Work closely with supply chain team to achieve expectations.
Enter and manage complex promotions and billing of supporting categories, ensuring accuracy.
Occasional store visits to evaluate sales/merchandising program execution.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to store managers and associates to enhance their overall business awareness, merchandising program execution, and focus on the customer.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Perform weekly Ad Proofing to verify accuracy of retails and item representation; i.e. size, position and imaging.
Job Requirements
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or equivalent, plus two (2) years' experience in an office environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proficiency in Retalix and Sales Planner systems preferred, but not required.
Proficiency in Category Analyzer system preferred but not required.
Accurate and attentive to details.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
